Just wanted to say

really great job on the posts so far! Lots of good thinking and reflection on the readings. I also have been thinking a lot about intent and the effect of excessive legal reasoning: Dayan does such an interesting job in conveying how the law can work to re-direct attention and obscure pain and suffering. I think tomorrow you all will find the film, Standard Operating Procedure, quite interesting because the director does focus on the guards at Abu Ghraib and some of their constraints/conditions.
